If you choose to trade-in or return your current leased vehicle, then follow these steps to ensure a smooth MINI lease return. It is important to start this process at least 45 days prior to your lease turn-in date.

45 Days to Lease End

  1. Make sure that your current mileage is within allowed limits3.
  2. Confirm that all scheduled maintenance has been completed4.

30 Days to Lease End

  1. View your inspection report and note any excess wear or mileage.
  2. If applicable, decide if you want to make any cost-saving repairs.

  1. Schedule an appointment with us for the lease return.
  2. Clean your MINI inside/out and remove all personal items.
  3. Return your MINI and complete a Federal odometer statement at our dealership.

2If your next vehicle is a MINI leased or purchased through MINI Financial Services, we will be happy to waive the end-of-lease disposition fee on your current vehicle and the security deposit on your new MINI.

3If you have purchased an excess wear and tear protection plan, please refer back to your insurance documentation for claim submission procedures.

4You are required to have all scheduled maintenance performed on your MINI as detailed in your owner's lease guidelines. Please check your Service and Warranty Information booklet for specific scheduled maintenance requirements. If you return your vehicle and it indicates that service is required, you will be charged accordingly.

5Unless you plan to keep your current vehicle, you are required to complete the inspection process, even if you have made arrangements to lease or purchase another new or pre-owned MINI.
